I grew up in Macon Georgia, and graduated from Tattnall Square Academy. In middle school, I decided that I wanted to be a band director, so I went to Georgia College and studied music education. After graduating with a bachelors degree in music education, I took a job at Lamar County Primary School in Barnesville, Georgia. My original plan was to teach general music for a year or two and then look for a band director positions. However, I realized that I enjoyed teaching young people about the joys of music, and I stayed in Lamar County. Eventually, I moved to the elementary school and realized how much fun chorus was. In 2016, I moved to Warner Robins and began teaching at DPES! The 2020-2021 school year will be my 5th year teaching here. In my spare time, I enjoy playing trumpet, guitar, bass, and piano in various performing groups.
