I was born in Warner Robins, Georgia, and attended CB Watson Elementary and Rumble Middle. I began my career teaching 3rd grade in 1999, at Bonaire Elementary. I served at Bonaire for five years and was voted Teacher of the Year in 2003. After marrying an Air Force man in 2004, we moved to Florida, Virginia, and Alaska. While moving every two to three years as a military spouse, I taught in public schools on and off military bases. I served as a Math Coach and Interventionist in a K-8 school and was awarded Teacher of the Year in 2010: over the years, I've taught grades 2nd -6th.
We are grateful to return home after retiring from the Air Force in 2018. In my spare time, I enjoy reading and watching UGA and Falcons football games with my family.
This year our reading and science classes will be exciting, meaningful, and rigorous. I can't wait to meet you!
