Bio
I am thrilled to be teaching third grade at Perdue Elementary and to be part of such a warm and dynamic community. Perdue is a wonderful place to teach and learn, and I feel lucky to be in this profession doing what I love. I strive to create a caring, safe, and engaging learning environment, which encourages students to believe in themselves and to do their personal best.
I grew up in South Carolina and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of South Carolina. After graduating, I moved to Virginia and earned a Master of Arts degree in Teaching Elementary Education from Norfolk State University. I taught 3rd grade in Virginia for 2 years. My family moved to Georgia and I began working for Houston County. In this system I have been a long-term substitute and taught 2nd and 4th grade for the past 8 years.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy traveling, camping, reading, and spending time with my husband, our three daughters, family and friends. I look forward to working with you this year!
